Aspen Snowmass International Realty went out with a bang with participation in a slew of exciting end-of-season events. Take a look at what we were up to this past month. From community-focused philanthropy to in-house events promoting Sotheby's global brand, we loved celebrating at these local events.
English In Action Summer Benefit
On Tuesday, September 7th, Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty had the honor of sponsoring the English In Action Summer Benefit, which raised over $400,000 from local businesses. The donations made at the Summer Benefit will sustain English In Action’s essential programming, which provides our community members opportunities to learn English, master technology, and develop transformative friendships. They also bridge cultural divides and offer opportunities to celebrate and learn about our diverse community.
The triumphant evening was accompanied by a dynamic conversation between guest speaker, and NYT best selling author, Fransisco Cantú and the National Immigration Forum’s Ali Noorani.
We are proud to continue to support the English In Action mission and look forward to next year’s benefit!

Food & Wine Classic
Arguably the most lively event of the summer season, the Food & Wine Classic made it’s grand return to Aspen after being cancelled last summer due to COVID-19. ASSIR kicked off the eventful weekend with a wine tasting at our flagship office in downtown Aspen - just steps away from the Grand Tasting tents that temporarily earned the spotlight on the historic walking mall.
The Sotheby’s International Realty brand is built on the centuries-old prestige of the world’s preeminent auction house. Sotheby’s teamed up with some of their favorite producers to launch the Sotheby’s Own Label Collection of wines, which are all defined by typicity of region and incredible value, and we got to share them with the community!
The event would not have been possible without the work of all our support staff and brokers who poured the wine, assembled the charcuterie boards, and talked the talk.

GSAR Golf Tournament
On September 17th, Roaring Fork Sotheby’s International Realty brought their game to the green and dressed in their best beach attire for the Glenwood Springs Association of REALTORS “Life’s a Beach” Golf Tournament at Rifle Creek Golf Course. The event raised money for Glenwood Springs Association’s scholarship fund that benefits graduating seniors heading to college. Brokers Phil Weir, Clinton Carroll, and Shawn Manwaring played as a team, while support staff Jon Lambert and Allie Kurzka held down the tent at Hole #3.

This past Saturday, ASSIR competed in the 5th annual Aether Games - a fundraising event in Aspen benefitting Aspen Youth Center. AYC is the only free after school and all day summer program for kids in the Roaring Fork Valley. AYC provides a safe and supportive place where youth in grades 4-12 connect, learn, and grow during their out-of-school hours, for free! On Saturday, the Aspen Youth Center was able to raise enough to cover 85 kids for one year of services. We are thrilled to have sponsored and participated in the successful Aether Games for the second year in a row.
